"She The Rose"
In 2019 a friend of the artist challenged her to create works with his favorite colors: white, gray, and red. The following works are amongst a series of about 20 images in which she explores contrasts: the balance between light and dark, the sterile and the chaotic, and round feminine shapes vs. jagged masculine lines. The pictures are finished with intentionally random numbers and Cyrillic letters. Another favorite element is the circle, a ring with so much latent meaning that it invites interpretation. However, the artist believes that the universe is cold and chaotic, and human's need for meaning is futile. Roses 2 is an abstract depiction of female pleasure. The clitorus becomes the focal point of the composition.
